    Dropping daytime naps

Over the last few days it has become apparent my twins (22 months) do not want their daytime nap any more. I can't remember when my older boys dropped theirs...is this about normal?

I think it's a bit early. In my experience, most kids will have a nap until they are around 3ish.

My DS1 is 2 and recently went through a rough patch with his day naps. He'd lay in bed for 2 hours but not sleep. I was worried he was dropping his nap but I just put him to bed every day and he went back to sleeping for 2-3 hours a day.

I'd stick with it for now, I think a few days of not napping is pretty normal at this age and doesn't mean they don't still need it.

Thanks for the advice, I will play it by ear and not stop offering a nap just yet then. They tend to sleep 6.30pm - 7.30am though so maybe they are getting all they need with that. I hope not though as when they stop napping I will struggle to find time to fold the laundry

DD#1 dropped her day sleep at around 2, but then started going to bed by 6:30pm and would sleep for around 12 hrs. I found that if she did have a sleep then going to bed at night would be a nightmare - so dropping the sleep worked for us.
Although there were times when she would still need one (sick, travelling etc) so I would just play it by ear. I know its nicer when you get some time to yourself in the day!

DS does 12-13 hrs a night and still sleeps for 2, sometimes 3 hours during the day.

It's cliche but they are all different, I'm sure you'll work out what's best. Good luck!
