DD is sitting independently pretty well atm (almost 7 months). I usually put a pillow behind to catch any backwards falls. When she falls forwards she has not learned to stop herself with her arms yet and gets upset when she falls over. Will she learn how to stop herself on her own? soonish? I dont like to let her fall but she usually falls fairly gently and I figure she needs to do this to help learn how to break her fall herself or stop it from happening in the first place? What do you think?
My DS did this around that age too, he's now 10 months and has learnt not to fall, we still have the occasional faceplant but not daily like it used to be, so yes they do learn!
