Walkers? Like the ones they can stand and push. You can get some pretty good ones now they can use while they are still sitting, then use them as walkers and then they turn into ride ons.
Otherwise anything that has lights and sounds are great for this age.
I highly recommend "v-tech first steps baby walker" - my DD loves it, it costs around $79.95 and we bought it from Toyworld. It keeps her entertained for so long. You can even take the music part off the walker if you are travelling somewhere! Just excellent!!
I will keep an eye on this thread as my DD is almost 11 months old!!
The best present we got was from my little sister when DS was around about 7 or 8 months. It's the Fisher Price Sit and Stand giraffe (I think thats what its called anyway!). It's basically a giraffe and it comes with 3 balls that they put in its mouth, that then roll down ramps. The giraffe also has 'ears' that bubs can use to pull themselves up to standing position and it has a few buttons on its head that make noises and flashing lights etc. My DS is 16months and still plays with his atleast once a day. He'll just walk past and pop a ball in its mouth. Occasionally I find cars in it or sometimes biscuits . They are quite often on sale in the Kmart or Target sales , usually half price
