    Looking for table and chairs?

I was wanting to get DD a table and chairs for christmas for her to sit at and play, but I am having trouble finding any I like.

Has anyone seen any cute ones anywhere?

My mum got a really cute set that looks like pencils from Aldi.

We got our table and chairs (which are really cute too) from IKEA.

From memory, IKEA has a big range. And if they're not to your taste then there's a homewares chain (I think it's called Provincial) that has some too.

What sort were you looking for - modern or something a bit more olde worlde?

We got ours from Ikea too. We got an unstained one and painted it ourselves.

Toys r us have a good range too - both plastic and wooden.

We love love love the plastic ones from Ikea that have a wide base on their legs. Cant remember the name but I know they are on their website. They are so hardy and really cool.

i am getting Lu one from the Yarra Glen market, pick it up on Sunday. The man makes all different sizes, stained to what ever color you like. You can bave bench seats or single chairs. I love the one we picked. Has storage under the table top for crafty things.
It is quite big though. Ikea had a good range of smaller tables. Toys 'r' us had a couple too....

I have had the cheap plastic ones, i have had the picnic table type one and finally i found that the one called MAMMUT table and chairs from Ikea is the best. I can sit on it and it still feels sturdy(i even did when i was pregnant). They are great for little kids and great as they get older, my 7 year old niece still sits at it, it wipes clean and come in various colours. Its is a little bit expensive and its plastic but honestly i think it will last my kids forever. I wish i bought it in the first place.
