Mums with boy i need your suggestions

Hi All, ( not sure if this is where i post this if not please move.)

I am in a dilema with a one year old and two year old boys birthdays coming up!

I have two girls and have no idea what to buy for a one year old boy or a two year old boy. (If only it was for girls!)

So if i can ask for the mums with boys to give me some suggestions that i could give as a present that will last and they will enjoy!

Max i want to spend is $50.00. I don't want to give clothes i want to get something that they will get alot of use out of etc.

Any suggestions woud be muchly appreciated

    thanks
    jen

DS's favourite gifts from his birthday were his animal books that people got him, or the "little people" things. He got a dump truck and an aeroplane of the little people stuff, and I've just brought my nephew (who just turned one) the animal zoo little people toy thing.

Its a big hit. My other nephew (who is two) LOVES them.

    Thats all my suggestions!!!!

i have a nearly 16mth old little boy, and his favourite things are balls, cars, blocks, books.

mega blocks make a truck that has three cars that come apart with it. it doubles as a car carrier. that is a favourite of his. We got him a bag of wooden blocks too from the early learning centre. an empty scrap book and crayola crayons (the washable ones) are also a huge hit at this age. Any of these things are suitable for a two year old too... things that they can build or "do" are all good choices. diggers and trucks (tonka are a great choice as they last and last) Lego, duplo are all good too.

    Hope that helps.

Other trucks that will last and last are little tikes brand ones - my kids have failed to wreck them over the years and same for my 2yo nephew - if he can't wreck a toy then its built pretty good LOL.

For my nephews birthday last week (2nd) we got him a farm playset, it was made of timber and came with a set of farm animals, you could also get a castle one. It was only $27.

One thing I got for my eldest DS was a pair of binoculars, he loved them and loved being able to see things that were far away.

My DS got a Wiggles pop-up tent for his first birthday and it was the best present he got! He loved to crawl in and out of it and as he got older he would put his pillow and doona in there and "camp out", so cute! For his second birthday books went down well and also Play-doh, you can get those packs with cutters and things. They usually say to from 3+, but I found he loved playing with it anyway. Like the other girls have suggested, you can't go wrong with balls either.

    Good luck

My DS is 17mths old and his fav thing is anything involving Thomas the Tank.

He also likes things like trucks, tractors, cars, etc. Oh and he also likes the baby lego.

    Hope that helps some.

Yep - I agree with all the other ladies - lego, cars, trucks, aeroplanes. But I also got my son a mini golf set and mini cricket set and he loves them.

Anything to do with cars, trucks, trains, blocks or balls - and you can't go wrong. My DS especially loved cars from a young age.
