    number of wet nappies

hi there.. my little girl has been demand fed from birth and we have introduced solids slowly... still only on 1 meal per day. and today she only had 4-5wet nappies. and one poo nappy.

is this enough. we use cloth so i can tell if its definatly wet. i normally change her more often then that. she was still happy though

    TIA

Thats fine as long as her fluids are being kept up. As its getting hotter water and diluted juice are great for in between feeds.

my 3 month old only has 4 or 5 wet nappies a day. so sounds ok to me as long as baby is well hydrated and happy and drinking well

This isn't exactly true rhyb - a demand breastfed baby will demand more feeds accordingly with the warmer weather. Exclusively breastfed babies do not require water at all for the first twelve months - because of the way our bodies produce milk. However, FF babies do often take water.

As for juice, it actually dehydrates, and is so high in sugar that it isn't healthy for a tiny bubs tummy.

Kidsarelife - Sounds pretty normal to me. We have only about five changes a day and we're in cloth at 7 1/2 months. Although he does make up for it overnight

To butt in and answer for cookiemonster - dedicated night nappies with wool covers. Eg: Wildchild, Snoozywuns, GNST (Good Night Sleep Tight), Sandman, Whizz Kidz, ummm, there's more but can't think of any off-hand. These have LOTS of bamboo (usually minimum 10 layers) for absorbency.
