    Play areas for babies/toddlers

My baby is standing, but not yet walking and I am wanting to take her to some different places to play so we are not stuck at home all the time.

I know there is a place at Chermside Shopping Centre next to the movies where we can play for $2 and Scallywags is free (but not a very big area to play). There is a great water park at Southbank also (which is free).

Does any one have any other suggestions like these around the city or northside of Brisbane (we are at Hamilton). The cheaper the better of course

    Thanks

The state library near southbank has a fantastic area callet 'the corner' its for under 8's and on thursdays they have rhyme time there starting at 10pm. I find its much quieter for small babies on other days of the week though.

Can really recommend the State Library Rhyme time. Also check out the Council libraries. They always have some sort of babies/toddler's activities on. The Art Gallery also has a kids program called Toddler Tuesday. The museum is free and even just looking at the dinosaurs should keep your LO fasinated.

Most playcentres are free for children under 12 months. Your baby may enjoy being in the ball pit.
