18 month vax and the bonus you get.

Just wondering what happens with the bonus you are meant ot get after the 18 months vaccinations, have heard different things from a number of different people so I'm confused.

When do you get it? How much is it? etc

You will get a payment once your child is 19 months as long as all of your Vax's are up to date to 18 months and your doctors have sent off the documentation. The payment is approx. $150ish. You will get another, smaller payment once the 4yo vax has been done.

You can call centrelink and they will confirm it for you.

It will automatically go through. All immunisation information is sent through to Medicare & when their register is updated it will be paid. It is usually between 19 & 24 months.
The 18 month chicken pox vaccination doesn't count, as its not yet compulsery. So if you weren't to get that one you would still be entitled without signing the concientious objectors form. As long as they are up to date to 12 months.
I recieved $122. This is the first split payment I have recieved, as they used to pay it all after 18 months, but now there's a payment after the 4 year ones too. That would be about the same as far as I know.

If it hasn't come through by the time your child is 20 months (and your vaxes are up to date) make sure you give them a ring and inquire. They won't pay it once your child has reached their second birthday.

Somehow something got messed up in the system with DS and if I hadn't rung up I would have missed out on the payment, even though all his vaxes were on time and up to date.

ok, as a fao employee, can i say not to expect it at 19 months. at 19 months, the data link is established to check that you are up to date with imm to 12 months (18 month chicken pox vax is not included) - it will be paid anywhere between 19 and 24 months depending on when the GP/nurses send through the information to the childhood immunisation register (ACIR) to notify of immunisation

You are also entitled to the payment if you don't vaccinate and have submitted a conscientious objectors form

As BG said, the 18 month chicken pox is not necessary to get the payment. I think that is what you are asking?
