From what I could see however (I could be wrong, I may have missed it) there was no distinction with IMR as to the cause of death. Is the IMR just the overall rate, or is it specifically related to the IMR of children who have dies as a result of illness and disease which is targeted by the vaccinations in question. A vary impoartant distinction IMO, as some countries have higher IMR's due to reasons other then illness and disease which may be vaccinated against (such as domestic violence, living conditions, etc). A breakdown of the IMR is essential to forming a more accurate veiw on this topic, rather then simply lumping all IMR into the same figure and then comparing against an isolated area (such as vaccinations) and looking for correlation.
