i was told i could have the WC one, and it would be advised, within a week of giving birth - it was safe while BF - i'm guessing it should be the same for TTC - if you can BF, you should be abel to TTC - i'd probably just get the jab when AF visiting...
hmm... is this something I should have considered before ttc? If we're unsuccessful this month I might ask my GP about it.
Is pertussis one of the ones they test for in the gazillion tests they do for pregnancy? Is it something I can do once the baby arrives? Is that good enough?
Sorry to hijack.. just figured it wasn't worth starting a new thread
I had the jab just over 2 weeks ago on the recommendation of my GP (because I had bad chest problems last winter).
We got told not to TTC for 6 weeks after receiving it.
If you don't need it before, I suggest you wait. I don't know what it's like in other states but we were told that in Vic, it's free for mothers & fathers of newborns (a friend of mine had it just last month). Wasn't a cheap one to have to pay for.
