How to make a sore belly feel better?

DS 4y is complaining of a sore belly, i think its from his coughing but i would like to "help" him feel better.. what can i do?
i have him laying down in bed to rest....

obviously i do not want to give him drugs for this.. but any home remedies old wives tales would be great

Heat pad to cuddle ... moving his legs in a clockwise position over his belly with knees bent to release tension ... cuddles!

well there was ha valid reason to it he just came out and vomited every where! hahaha
