i learned the hard way that it needed to be on a separate cover. so yeah, i lost my ring in the house and it was/has never been found and all i was covered for was $900 which is what was covered for unspecified jewellery items. - not really helpful for a ring valued at $6500

ETA: I now have my "new" ring (nothing like my lost one ) on a separate cover whereby i had to provide proof of its value (valuation certificate). It does add more to the premium, but after my experience with losing my ring, its money i'm willing to spend
