    Belly Belly statistics?

    so with all the talk of statistics how about we do a poll of all the suggested ways for our statistics to see where bb sits??

    C-sections termed emergency 9
    C-sections termed elective 3
    C-sections termed elective with pre-existing medical condition (that one would be an eye-opener! As Kelly says, it's less than 1% of electives who are maternal-request for no medical reason!) 5
    Vaginal births 56

    ob to patient ratios - 1, but not the one that I saw throughout my pregnancy
    anaesthatist to patient ratios - 2

    - 1 stitch.
    - 2 midwives in the room at the birth, and one on call OB that I'd never met before. Then another OB came in just after he was born. Again another I'd never met. Lol.

    Labour augmented with Arificial Rupture of Membranes
    2nd degree tear
    1 midwife at a time, but not constantly (until the birth when the room was bloody full of people! LOL! I've no idea of who they all were.) (Though I suppose in my case I had an extra midwife because she was my SIL and second support person. Though not acting in an 'official' capacity, KWIM?)

    Caesarean - due to placenta praevia. Initially elective, but recorded as emergency as I had SPROM at 36+6 weeks.
