We should add a line for homebirths! I never put one in my list because it was from the hospital stats thread...

    Vaginal
    Gas
2 midwives (so great being at home - i KNOW they were mine and mine alone because there were no other women in labour in my house! )

    Birth #1
4wks of hospitalisation for pre-eclampsia prior to induction
2 doses of gel to try and get labour started
    3 contractions
1 registrar up to his wrist in my vagina trying to get the gel out to stop the contractions whilst another registrar jammed two injections of some other drug in my leg to try and stop the labour they had just artificially started
1 anasthetist who was bl&*dy marvellous and got the spinal in first go, otherwise it would have been a general
1 neonatal specialist, 3 midwives, god knows how many nurses, 2 registrars (one with "L" plates) heaps of other people....
    1 emergency c/s
Time from insertion of 2nd gel to birth - about 15-20 mins...
10 days in hospital with a premmie baby

Birth #2 (loss at about 17.5w)
1 horrific hospital experience which I can't go into right now or I'm gonna cry... will try later

    Birth #3
Pre-eclampsia, managed from 16w with medication on and off
    Attempted VBAC
Attended hospital at 41+1 with ++++ protein and elevated BP
Registrar on duty offered me another week of waiting, or a c/s the following morning
XH decided, without consulting me, on a c/s the next day
Classified "elective" c/s but didn't really have an option because of the p/e
    Only 1 registrar delivered
    1 midwife
1 anaesthetist who took 2 goes to get the spinal in
Some nurses/other people (can't remember exactly)
