First of all, please accept our sincere apologies for the delay in getting back to you. We must consistently manage a backlog of the many emails we receive, which we don't always have the resources to address.

Many thanks for taking the time to contact us and suggest a campaign on recently passed draft legislation affecting Homebirths.

This certainly is an area of concern, and something we are aware of here at GetUp. However, the limited capacity and small staff base of the GetUp team means that we are unfortunately unable to focus on and pursue as many campaigns as we would like.

However, we are aware that this is something that is important to GetUp members. I have passed on your email to the rest of the team and we will continue to monitor the issue.

We HAVE to get people there though thats the only prob. Also if you havent seen it yet - the Senate has launched an Enquiry into the proposed changes - we have to July 20th to email in an objection... please check out the Birth Activism forum for full details - in the labour and birth forums.
