Our darling baby girl!
It is with great pleasure that I announce the early arrival of Miss Caitlin to the BB world.
Due date was 19/09/2009 but with PE complications, my labour was induced at 34w1d via ARM at 10:50 on 09/08/09 and Miss Caitlin made her debut a mere 6hrs and 33mins later at 16:23, weighing a healthy 2.405kg, is 48cm long and has a head circumference of 29cm! I was hooked to synto & CTGs. Doula assisted (Thanks Cass!), hospital vaginal birth with no tear and drug free labour.
Our girl is currently in the NICU because of prematurity but is otherwise doing very well. I am busy expressing colostrum for our dear sweet girl and DP is trying to get some rest after a very full on day.
I would like to thank all of the wonderful ladies in the Belly Buddies Due September 15-30, 2009 thread - sharing my pregnancy with you as been a pleasure and a privilege - I look forward to meeting all of your bundles.
I would further like to thank my dear BB friends - there really are so many that have given me advice, support and guidance and I am eternally grateful!
And finally, to my dear sweet sister, Bonham08, who was set to be my post-it-girl... thank you for allowing me to post this announcement. I hope our girls share a bond somewhat similar to the one we share (except when we were in that awkward stage where we hated each other PMSL). Hugs - congratulations Aunty!
So I leave you now to get some rest - and will post my Birth Story over the next few days.
Congrats hun on the early arrrival of your beautiful little Caitlin. I had thought I had misread this thread title at first. Wow she is here. I hope her stay in NICU is short and you can have her home ASAP
