10 August - It's a boy!

My wife (Lozza) gave birth to our first child, a beautiful boy named Aston Maxwell.

He was born naturally, with no stitches, and delivered by myself. Quite possible one of the best feelings of my life.

His birth weight was 7lb 10.5oz, and was 52cm long, with a 34cm head circumference.

Mum didn't have any stitches, and is breastfeeding perfectly.

Aston is also sleeping lots, and isn't a crier. However, I'm not holding my hopes up on that one.

My wife became my new hero after seeing her go through 7 hours of labour, and allowing me to deliver my first son.

The obstetrician was next to me guiding me through it, and we were fortunate enough to have a family friend who is almost a qualified midwife to lend a hand. Her efforts during the process were priceless.
