14 September 2007 - Pregpan's Beautiful Baby Boy

Hello all,

Pregpan's D(elated)H here.

I'm not quite sure how to describe the last few hours in our lives. But I can tell you this much...I have fallen in love twice in just this one day. Once with our new baby boy - yet to be named. Every single movement, every single creak and crackle, every single gesture and flicker of his eyes - make me well up inside with happiness, I simply have no other experience to compare them to. Everything about him is so new and unknown to us - and at the same time, so deeply familiar.

And I fell in love with my wife again. I'll let her tell you her extraordinary story. Rest assured, she is doing magnificently and is up and about and feeding like a pro. My beautiful wife summoned courage, focus, perspective, control, energy, effort and grace in bringing our son into the world. I feel like we've gone past another one of those 'points of no return' in terms of our closeness.

I'm sure she can't wait to hear how this miracle plays out for all of you. You have been her counsellor, companion and confidant. So no small measure of thanks goes to you all of you as well.

Not only is that wonderful news. Congratulations to Pregpan and DH, but that is such a moving announcement. Sounds like dad did a fabulous job as well.

ok, i'm just sitting here crying my eyes out after reading that (bl##dy pregnancy emotions). it was just beautiful. congratulations on your little man who you obviously adore. it's just lovely. i'm so happy for you guys...congratulations!! can't wait to hear all about it!!

Congratulations to you both - getting teary now! Thank you for sharing such beautiful thoughts, P's DH: hope you realise what a wonderful consolation and inspiration your lovely wife has been to us too, but then again you already know how special she is...
