13 days over due and baby BOY has FINALLY decided today was a good day!

Welcome to the world Kane Michael!!!

3.9kg, big beautiful boy born about 3pm this afternoon via emergency Caesarian due to fetal distress and infection. Kane needed to be resuscitated and incubated briefly, but is okay now - he will need 48 hours in the SCN.

Forshelbys waters broke yesterday morning, and she labored for about 30 hours before delivery. What an amazing effort!!

I am so, so, incredibly proud of you my friend... I'm at a loss for words with how well you fought for your body and your birth choices. Although you didn't get your VBAC, your health and Kane's health is #1, and sometimes surgery is necessary (this being a prime example). You are amazing. AMAZING.
