    18 November 2007 - It's a Boy!!

I meant to come on sooner and announce the arrival of our little one but it's been a rough couple of weeks.

We finally had our baby, a little boy - Cameron Michael. He was born Sunday November 18th at 2:16 pm after 58 hours of labour (not fun) He came out "sunny side up" with his head tilted back so it was an extremely difficlut labour and I didn't thnk i was going to make it. After 56 hours of contractions I had to push for nearly 2 hours to get him out. Needless to say i needed a lot of stitches and I was so sore and tired I had to stay in the hospital for 5 days. He was almost a C-section due to his positioning but since he was sitting so low the Dr wanted me to try to push first and I can't believe I actually got him out. I'm still very sore but recovering.

Having the little guy home has been great but exhausting. He sleeps so well during the day and then cluster feeds through the night, so sleep has become a distant memory. We love him so much though that even though labour was really hard and we are both so tired, he was/is worth every minute of it. I'm lucky I have a very supportive husband who is proving to be a really wonderful father.

Twin Sister - What a "great" effort you went through to have Cameron. I am sure it is all worth it. Congratulations to your family.

Thanks so much everyone. Sleep is a thing of the past and I'm still really sore from delivery, but he was so worth it!

What a little cutie he is!! He has hair like all my bubs have had. Enjoy your tiny bub, you will sleep again one day but he will never be this little again.

Thanks! I think he's pretty cute too but then I'm pretty biased. As tired as I am and as much difficulty as I'm having with breastfeeding, I realy am enjoying him.
