17th December 2008 - Miss C's little CB has arrived!!

DH and I are very pleased and so excited to announce the birth of our little CB, a darling girl!

    Emily Acacia

My waters broke on Tuesday morning, and unfortunately I hadn't got organised enough to ensure that DH knew what he was doing very well on BB to post a BA!

I am home tonight (3 days post-partum) feeling well, and Emily is just a beautiful, rosy-cheeked cherub, feeding like a trooper, and DH is absolutely besotted and a gorgeous father already

The details of her birth are:

    Emily Acacia
    Born by caesarean section
    Wednesday 17th December 10.46pm
    7lb 15.5oz (3.665kg)
    HC 35cm
    Length 52cm
    Apgars 9 & 9

I hope to post my birth story before too long - we had a very difficult labour that wouldn't progress past 3cm dilation, despite augmentation, so it resulted in an emergency c-section, but it was a absolutely wonderful birth experience despite all that.

Thank you to the gorgeous ladies here at BB for your amazing support during pregnancy, and we look forward to sharing the next part of our journey with you all!

Thanks everyone for you congratulations! It's so lovely to share the excitement!!

We are doing very well and, although little Emily has a few problems with taking in lots of wind when BFing because she's a little too small to cope with my flow yet, but we'll get there! She is thriving and that's what matters!

I've posted some photos in my gallery, just thought I would pass a link on here:

    Thanks again, everyone!
