My gorgeous wife, Ali (Alipralli) gave birth to a beutiful baby girl, Emerson Louise, at 0158hrs this morning, 28 March 2007. She weighed 3.8kg (8lb 6oz) and was 54cm long. Emerson was delivered by emergency caesarian section after prolonged labour and failed inductions. She really did not want to come out.
She's got 10 fingers and 10 toes, is healthy, and likes to eat, sleep and fart (Daddy's little girl ). I may be a tad biased, but I think she is the most beatiful little thing that I've ever seen. Aparantly she has my nose. Not sure if that's a good thing...
Ali's still feeling knackered but is recovering from the surgery. As scary as the whole process was, I reckon that seeing my little girl for the first time was the most amazing thing I've ever experienced. I think it might take a few days to really sink in, though.
Also, big wraps to the midwives and staff at Ipswich Hospital - they have been fantastic.
