A sweet little (big) boy arrived on Sunday 22 November just before 2 pm with a drug free delivery, labour lasting about 6 hours. It was the most AMAZING experience of my life!
We named him HUGH, which we had picked out for DD if she was a boy and kept it as we just loved it. He was 3.9kg (nearly 9lbs) and 54cm and is just divine. He had to go to NICU with respiratory distress about 12 hours after birth but we are home now and he is doing just fine. But a very scary experience. Breastfeeding is going superbly and his sister is a bit nonchalant about this new baby. She kisses him then gets him with the fly swat!
Labour started naturally at 41 weeks and 3 days and I am so glad that I was in 'patient' mode waiting to meet our little man!
We are just thrilled with how the whole labour and birth went and DH was an absolute legend in getting Hugh earthside.
