Question Advice on buying a TENS machine

    Hello all,

Our midwife has suggested that if you are planning on having more children, it is good idea to buy rather than hire a TENS machine.

Does anyone have any advice on what I should be looking for in a TENS machine (either to buy or hire)?

I'm 35weeks+6days, so I'm looking to get this organised ASAP! (I know I should have done it earlier!)

    TIA,

    Ruth

While I don't know how much it costs to purchase a TENS machine, I know that to hire one is fairly inexpensive (mine was around $40-50). I am a huge fans of the TENS, however, many people do not like them at all so I would be reluctant to buy one before knowing if it is going to be of assistance to you. My recommendation would be to hire one ASAP for your upcoming birth. Good luck!

I agree, I would not buy one, as I know many ppl who do not like them.. I used them with both my births and loved them but everyone is different.

I hired my through the hospital around $50-60

I agree, I would also suggest hiring one before you buy as you may not like it - everyone is different!

GOOD LUCK with birth though, you'll be great and you'll have bubba in your arms in no time!
