Question Active birth or NEW Active birth??????

So I decided after reading quite a few recommendations on BB that I would buy the book called New Active Birth, or so I thought, I've been looking around to get the best price (on a bit of a budget) and there are actually 2 books one is New Active Birth, by Arthur Balaskas,..The other is called Active Birth by Janet Balaskas, now I'm confused as to which one to get

So can anyone let me know which they have, if they are different is one better than the other??

I read and loved the one by Janet Balaskas - but I'm positive it was called New Active Birth.

Yep I have the one by Janet Balaskas right next to me and it is called New Active Birth.
It was highly recommended and passed on to me by another BB member, I am yet to read it yet but it is next in my pile .

    I'm getting very confused!!!

There are 2 books called Active Birth, they seem to have the same cover but different authors and different covers and different prices??

But then they show the book New Active Birth with the same cover as the one by Janet Balaskas, but the author is Arthur Balaskas?? One published US and the other UK

It's really doing my head in!!

Mantaray can you describe the cover of the one you read for me?? (If you can remember)

    You poor thing, how confusing.

It is a yellow colour with 'New Active Birth' written across the top in a brown/orange with 'Janet Balaskas' written below it on the right then 'A Concise Guide to Natural Childbirth' written under that. Down the bottom right it as 'Foreword by Sheila Kitzinger' and 'Introduction by Michel Odeant'. On the left it has a picture of a mother with blonde hair holding her newborn with the father looking over her shoulder (the cord is still connected to her and baby so a just birthed photo).

If you type 'New Active Birth' into google and click on images it is the first one to come up .

I hope you understand all of that! Good luck.

ETA: Just noticed it is for sale in the Belly Belly Online Shop for $34.95 (but it is for backorder, takes 2-3 weeks), but it does not have a picture! See link below.

    Thanku DaintreeDream

I think I've worked it out!! Arthur Balaskas must have helped writing or edited or something so some list him as the authour (men I would imagine lol)

Then even more confusing was the other book called Active Birthalso by Janet Balaskas...not sure what that one is maybe revised?? Who knows I think I'll just go with the same as yours, seem to be well know and have good reviews.

Off to check out the BB store

    Thanks for your help
