Almost 40 weeks pg and no signs of impending labour...

I'm almost 40 weeks pg and have had absolutely no signs of impending labour... So, I was just wondering if this means that I'm still in for a bit of a wait? (I'm pretty well over being pg at this stage)

I have no advice either - but bub will come when bub is ready - so dont rush it and just enjoy whatever days u have left!
In saying that alot of bubs go over EDD - thats why is just a estimate date!
    I went a week over!

Goodluck tho when the big day arrives!!!

Sterla, I am thinking of you lots. I have heard that some people dont get BH contractions and sometimes there are no signs of early labour and it will just happen. Everyone is so different. I hope your little one doesnt keep you waitng to long. I am looking forward to reading your birth announcement in the not to distant future. Lots of love and labour vibes coming your way

With DS1 I had no signs of labour until I had my first contraction (he was 8 days late). So it doesn't necessarily mean you are in for a long wait, but it doesn't mean you aren't either LOL, sorry that doesn't help at all!

The last few weeks are so hard, but hang in there and it will all be over before you know it and your new bub will help you forget about how long you waited .

Lol, I just replied to your other thread! But as I alluded to in the other thread, I had NO clue #1 was coming. I was sure I would be waiting for another week at least. Didn't feel a thing beforehand.
So don't be discouraged! These last days seem long and sleepless, but rest and eat as well as you can, because bub will be here soon.
