avoiding internal tearing

is it possible??

i suffered quiet bad internal tearing and was wondering if there is anything you can do to avoid it?? it also wasnt establishe where my PPH was coming from, but more than likly it was from the tearing and not my uterus but its something we'll never know!
there is lots of info regarding external tearing (labial/perinium) but not internal or is it just one of those things that unavoidable.
just wondering incase we decide to have #3, im worried about it, can cope with the external tearing as i know how to try and avoid that!
