Self-internal examination - cervix effacement

Is it possible to do a self-internal examination to check for cervix effacement?

If so, what do you need to look for?

Has anyone done an internal examination of this kind?

Good on you for being able to reach it at this stage I say . I haven't ever heard of it, and I'm not sure it would be a terribly good idea to do one yourself either.
