blue hands and feet...

ok this is probably common knowledge but was just wondering why some babies are born all nice and pink but have blue hands and feet? DD was born with blue hands and feet but the m/w wasnt at all concerned about so i guess i just forgot to ask if it was normal..?

all babies are that colour in the womb - when they are born and their new circulation system kicks in the hands and feet just arent reached as fast!
