I watched it for the first time today and the thing that I LOVED about it was the clearly unbiased way in which this documentary was made.

I LOVED that they actually spoke with OB/GYN's, hospital midwives etc as well as Natural Birth Advocates such as Ina May Gaskin.

For the record, I am neither for or against natural birth or intervention, I am a big believer that everything in child birthing has it's place. This means some women do better with a planned induction, epidural etc because this is what they want, on the other hand other women need to be given the opportunity to birth naturally.

It comes down to informed choice of the pregnant woman. No one has the right to say someone's choice is wrong so long as it's informed.

I think this DVD is awesome and I just LOVED it.

I loved it too. I have offered it to a few friends and their partners who are pregnant or thinking about making babies. Getting some partners to read books can be difficult, and i think this is where this video can really be valuable. An hour and a half of video, and my partner 'got' many of the points i had been trying to explain- when although he loves reading, the books i was offering weren't really being read.
