    Question Cervix question

Ok, so to start with, I just want to mention that, yes, I am WAY over analysing everything at the moment, but I just can't help it, lol.

So, I'm looking for any little sign that labour could be close. Which includes trying to feel my cervix. The only thing that looks even close to promising is that I've had slight diarrhea for the last 2 days. Nothing exciting. No plug or mucous or anything else at all!

So, my question... The fact that I can't even reach my cervix yet would say that I'm not even close, huh? I'm pretty sure I'm not feeling it & I can feel up behind babies head. Does that mean anything? Is labour still days away just coz I can't reach it yet? Tell me it doesn't matter & tonight could still be the night...

hun i went from no cervix movement to fully dilated and bubba out in 30 min..

    so it could be tonight..
also as you bend forward to reach cervix you pelvis tilts so makes it harder to feel the cervix

the runs is a good sign, bowels cleaning out due to pressure on them etc..

    good luck hun

I have no idea but I hope things happen sooner rather then later (although not that fast)

You may just have a long birth canal, its hard for some people to feel their own cervix. Sometimes its even hard for others to feel it depending on the length of their fingers
But of course you're overanalysing...COMPLETELY normal at this such exciting stage...like waiting for Christmas day but not knowing which day it was going to be on.
Look forward to reading your BA !

Lol. Just stumbled across this thread and I'm at the exact same stage - looking for any sign. I found a site called beautifulcervix that shows pictures of cervixes at stages of life, and during pregnancy etc. I tried to find mine with my fingers & it's either really soft or I didn't find it. I remember once going for a pap smear and a student tried & the nurse had to tell her to use a longer speculum because I had a 'long vagina' :S. I wasn't sure if that was a weird thing or not but I guess maybe that's why I might not be able to reach it.
Also, I have to say, getting signs of prelabour might not help your impatience. I've been getting frequent Braxton-hicks, shedding bits of plug and had pressure on my bowels for almost 3 weeks now & I almost wish they'd all just go away because it never eventuates to anything. Waking up with BH and cramping is all just a tease now. I'm starting to feel like I'll never go into labour!

Thats how I feel, least you haven't reached your due date yet! lol
I'm getting strong BH every night, but no plug, nothing else at all. Feeling very restless today though. Can't get comfy & only got 3 hours sleep last night for the same reason...
Dunno if it means anything, but can always hope, lol. Oh & heartburn today Its sucky!!!

I was the same last night. I didn't get to sleep until late (was just less tired than usual & saw that as a sign) then tossed & turned all night.
I'm still a bit away from my due date but I kept getting all these signs that I'd go a bit early. My mw even said at my last appt that she doesn't think I'll make my edd. But who knows, really?!
If the weather improves this afternoon I'm going to go for a walk, see if that helps... If nothing else, it will be a distraction & tire me out for a good sleep tonight.
