    Talking Induction via Pineapple

    Seriously

At my appointment today the midwife was telling me about natural induction methods and he said one way is to eat a whole pineapple!!!! I thought he was joking at first but he was serious. He said something about the enzymes in pineapple helping.

Has anyone else heard of this?? Anyone started things off with a big juicy pineapple? lol.

I remember hearing that you have to eat 3 or 4 pineapples to make it work.

Papaya have the same enzyme, so you can try them too Having said that I was eating close to a pineapple a day near the end of my pregnancy & I still ending up going 10 days over.

Do you reckon this means you should avoid pineapple if you are not ready for bub to come yet?

ooooh i cant eat pineapple...for some reason it tastes like cheese (which I like, so not sure why pinapple cheese taste is not good). And the juice is worse.
Still when the time comes I may consider it..
