I have posted this elsewhere and have asked if it was ok to post it here as well as I am hoping to get some more ideas and possibly even help people who might be looking for this sort of stuff.

Basically I am looking for crystals/gemstones that are good for pregnancy, Labour and birth, and anything associated with that, so positive, calming, loving, energy, healing ... anything

Here is the list I have so far

List – Moonstone, Rose Quartz, Unakite, Pyrite, Fluorite (yellow), Howlite, Rhodonite, Black Tourmaline, Amethyst, Moonstone, Nephrite Jade, Howlite, Amazonite, Azurite Basalt, Chrysocolla, Diopside, Hematite, Fluorite, Turquoise, Peridot, Jaspers, Lepidolite, Boulder opal, Mangano Calcite, Kunzite, Aragonite, Barite, Calcite, Chalcedony, Crocoite, Rhodochrosite, Sagenite, Botryogen, Dyscrasite, Microcline, Danburite

1. Danburite – Alerts you to coincidences which pave the way for releasing the past. Clears emotional miasms. Association to Archangel Gabriel.
2. Moonstone - assists with fluid retention which by the end of pregnancy can become an issue. It can also help with balancing our hormones, our emotions and feelings of vulnerability that can arise.
3. Rose Quartz is the unconditional love hug of the universe. Wrapping yourself and baby in its warm, soothing energy provides emotional balance, security and peace.
4. Unakite is a good stone for healthy pregnancies and to facilitate health of the unborn child.
5. For those who need to keep some semblance of mental stature and memory stones like Pyrite, Fluorite (yellow), Howlite, Rhodonite and Black Tourmaline work well.
6. When you get to about 7 months sleep goes out the window and some people find insomnia all too much. Crystals like Amethyst, Moonstone, Nephrite Jade and Howlite can help.
7. Some have terrible leg cramps and spasms so you can try Amazonite, Azurite Basalt, Chrysocolla, Diopside and Hematite to relieve them.
8. Using Fluorite and turquoise to help absorb nutrients so your physical has what it needs is vital.
9. Fatigue is usually a sign we need to stop, not keep going and luckily the world mostly understands that you need to sit down! So take advantage less stress for you is less stress for baby. Peridot is a lovely auric cleanser and revitalising energy without causing too much sensation through your being. Jaspers will also nurture and support you
10. Lepidolite is the stone of transition which is exactly what pregnancy is constant change through the pregnancy, then childbirth, and back again. Lepidolite is a stone of calm, trust, and acceptance, which brings emotional stability (a god send for husbands, as is Dioptase). Boulder opal brings emotional security, Mangano Calcite brings feelings of safety, Kunzite for well being, balancing hormones, aligning chakras, powerful feelings of peace… so important when making babies, plus it dispels negativity.
11. Other stones for emotional balance (It’s a funny thing, but first babies especially for me, messed with my emotional balance – big time) are Aragonite, Barite, Calcite, Chalcedony, Crocoite, Rhodochrosite and Turquoise.

13. Sagenite pregnancy very protective stone and is good for use during pregnancy to stimulate the optimum levels of well being within the unborn child while affording protection to the body of the mother.
14. Botryogen has been used during pregnancy to ease the expansion of the skin and to facilitate ease in the birthing process.
15. Dyscrasite can help during pregnancy to provide health and warmth to the unborn
16. Microcline beneficial during birthing process and has assisted in relieving stress during pregnancy


ALSO I am looking for some really good positive Affirmations that can be written onto cards or candles and used as a meditation tool to help someone really focus and not be afraid. Here are some I have found:


1. Birth is a safe and wonderful experience.
2. I will give birth without complications.
3. I am not afraid.
4. I know my baby feels our calmness and confidence.
5. I trust in my ability to give birth.
6. My body knows exactly what it is doing.
7. I am confident in my ability to birth
naturally, painlessly and easily.
8. During labour and birth, I am completely relaxed and comfortable.
9. I will have an uncomplicated, peaceful, joyous and pleasurable birth.
10. My baby is healthy.
11. I am completely cooperating with my body.
12. I will breathe deeply and slowly to relax my muscles making it easier for my uterus to work.
13. My body is made to give birth, nice and easy.
14. I believe my baby’s birth will come quickly and easily.
15. My body is completely relaxed.
16. All I need to do is relax and breathe – nothing else.
17. Everything is going right.
18. I feel the strong waves of labour and know that everything is normal and progressing.
19. Relax my mind and muscles.
20. Courage, faith and patience.
21. My body knows how to have this baby just as my body knew how to grow this baby.
22. Keep breathing slow and even. Inhale peace, exhale tension.
23. Keep my mind on acceptance and surrender.
24. I show absolutely no signs of fear or concern.
25. I surrender my birthing over to my baby and my body.
26. My body has a wide open space for my baby to descend. There is nothing in the way.
27. My body will give birth in its own time.
28. I love my baby and I am doing all that is necessary to bring about a healthy birth.
29. Birth is an easy and natural occurrence for which my body has been perfectly designed.
30. The strength of my uterine contractions is a sign of my feminine strength.
31. I have the energy and stamina to birth my baby.
32. There will be no complications.
33. I surrender to the contractions and relinquish control of the forces within my body.
34. I allow my body’s natural anesthesia to flow through my body.
35. I do not fight the birth in any way. My body is totally relaxed. I am not afraid.
36. The power and intensity of my contractions cannot be stronger than me, because it is me.
37. I am ready and prepared for childbirth.
38. My job is to simply relax and allow the birth to happen.
39. Just let my body do it; let it happen.
40. I see myself handling everything beautifully.
41. Each contraction produces a healthy, positive pain that I can handle.
42. Birth will go exactly as it should.
