Question Are tehre any exercises I can do that will bring on labour?

I have been walking and sitting on the fitball (bouncing on there and rolling my hips on it).

Is there anything else I can do? Would doing squats or lunges help?

Should I sit or lie in a certain way?

What if I jump up and down? Will that make the baby come out?

Edit- Sorry about the typo in the msg thread. Maybe a mod can fix that for me.

Don't do lunges though, it could pull your pelvis outta wack.

    Play with your boobies!

Try and get your DH to come around in the sex department...We also used EPO as lube (sorry TMI) but DD was born 4 hours later

Had a couple of contractions but nothing regular. It annoys me as I ahve all these different kind of pains and dont know what is what. A week ago I had a bleed (sorry TMI) as well but it wasnt my plug.

Bekz- Thanks hun! It has come round quickly all of a sudden. I will have to go and get some EPO tomorrow.

Goodluck Ali. With DD1 I had 5 nights of on/off pre-labour pains. It was such a pia at the time but my body was doing a really good job of preparing me for a wonderful birth.

Maybe relax and visualise your body and baby getting ready for birth.

Ha Ha i just had to reply to this thread with the unfortunate back up - SEX SEX SEX!!! But he has to come through, if you know what I mean . Actually so do you.....OK at the risk of TMI, if you tried it by yourself....it's the orgasm that can get the contractions going.....

A curry might help as well!

I should probably shut up now!!!!

    Too funny.

I am so going to have to add to the list of people telling you the horizontal tango. Of all the wives tales, the prostogladins that he can provide are the most real. So I recommend a nice long 4wd trip to some lace secluded followed by wild monkey sex and a ride home via a road with more potholes than your kitchen cupboard.

That baby poking joke has a lot to answer for.

PMSL! I couldnt get him to do it last night! Arrrrhhhh! He said if the baby doesnt come by Friday than we will have a weekend of it.

Spoke to my midwife today and she said nipple stimulation is the next best thing to DTD and walking for more than 30minutes. So looks like I better get busy!

Just remind your DH that he won't be getting any for at least 6 weeks post birth..that was enough to motivate my DH
