    Question fluid...

I don't know if this is the right place to post but here I go...
This afternoon my SIL had a gush of something whihc she thought to be her waters. It definatly wasn't urine. She went to hospital and was being monitored and it showed she was having "contractions". They then decided to do an internal and told her that her waters had not broken but there is fluid around her cervix(outside) quite a lot but they don't know what this fluid is? They sent her home saying she is not in labour.

Does anyone know what this fluid might be. A bit of info she is39 weeks this is her third and she has been getting false labour a couple of times ie BH every 10 mins for a couple hours then nothing this has been happening every second day or day for about 2 weeks.

Any help would be appreciated. \

    TIA Ellie

When my waters broke they didnt 'fully' break. I think there are two parts to the membranes I think. I didnt go into true labour until the second one had broken. Perhaps this is the same thing? Although I was actually admitted.
