    Question Full moons and Labour

I just went outside to put the garbage out and noticed a huge moon (im not up with moon types) so came back and done a google search on the phases to discover its actually a full moon tonight.

I then done some more reading and discovered ALOT of women seem to go into labour and deliver on this moon phase.

Im sure its a myth.....but has anyone had this happen??

I mentioned it to my midwives last full moon and they said that they get a birth spike when the pressure system drops, so from fine weather to rainy weather.

I have heard of the full moon theroy heaps though so it can't just be a myth. I hope not for your sake anyway Kim

Dunno Kim, ther are lots of loony theories that revolve around the full moon (pun intended ). I am sure now you are 3 days post edd so you have a great chance to blame the moon for things happening... time will tell I suppose

Kim, i have been hearing this myth for as long as i can remember and it does seem to be true....lots of women go into labour when it's a full moon, so you might just be luck enough to be one of these...i guess only time will tell!

This would come from the fact that the moon rules water/tides, and the human boy is 70-80% water.
There is a lot of docuemtned evidence that animal behaviour changes erratically around the full moon as well, I've seen scentific films , time lapse videos etc on the topic.

Im wondering if you are a water sign (cancer, pisces, scorpio)?

Yep ive heard its true too! Happened with me and DD. My waters broke that night and the hospital was going nuts with deliveries. Midwives even told me the same happens every full moon so tonight may be your night!

    Best of luck!

Thats an interesting theory. I've never heard it & never taken the time to look up while on my way to hossy...
They were all nights though, so possibly!
