What time of day did you go into labour?

So.... just pondering..... i thought most women went into labour spontaneously during the evening. I keep going to bed expecting tonight to be 'the' night. Maybe because my last labour started at 1am, or maybe because i heard that most start at night.... So just wondering if it is an old wives tale or not?

If you went into labour naturally what time of day did it all start?

Both of mine I had my show in the morning (10am and 8am) then prelabour started straight away. Established labour started early afternoon.

My midwife reckons most labours start in the middle of the night because that’s when people are most relaxed.

    DS1 – 12:30am
    DD – 5am
    DS2 – 1:30am

Similar to meow; contractions kicked off slowly around 8am and was in established labour by lunchtime, DD born just after 6pm.

DS1 - waters broke spontaneously about 7.30pm - born early the next morning.
DS2 - woke up as normal about 6.30am. First noticed mild cramping about 7am and labour went from here (born 2pm).

    5am for both.

My midwife also told me the same thing about being relaxed at night

I've heard it's more likely to happen in the middle of the night because your oxytocin levels peak in the early hours of the morning?

With both boys labour started at 4am, with DD I had a "real" contraction at 8pm, but it didn't really start until about 9:30pm, she was so different! My sister had a bub on Saturday and her contractions started in the late afternoon, so there you go

Not long to go now JM!!!
