how long after a S&S did you go into labour??

im 41 weeks pregnant with my first and just got back from the hossy not long ago where i had a stretch and sweep. im not expecting things to happen straight away (if at all) but was just curious to know how many people reading this it worked for and if so how long did it take to start working. its been roughly 2 and a half hours and so far having 'period pains' that are a bit more ouchies than they have been for the last few weeks. but i think it could just all be in my head hahah

it works for me. so over being pregnant. just want this little guy out

    TIA

    xx

    Just posted in our thread

I had one when I was pg with DD2. She didn't come til a week later, but my cervix was still well closed when I had it done & I had no niggles at all afterwards.
A friend of mine had one & was already about 4cm dilated, even though she hadn't felt a thing yet. Her DD was born that night.

So, like I said in our thread, did she mention how your cervix felt? Coz that's the bit I'd be paying attention to.

Hope its starting hun. He'll be here soon xx

its been roughly 2 and a half hours and so far having 'period pains' that are a bit more ouchies than they have been for the last few weeks.
I had one done about 10am. Had a bit of a leak at lunchtime, then the ouchy period pain pains started around 3pm. Went for a walk and things intensified, I think it was about 10/11pm when I gave in and went up to the hospital. DD was born at 11am the next day.

I had already been having mild contractions at home for 16 hours, and was 2cm dilated, when I had a S&S. Within probably half an hour I was in full blown labour!

I was 2cm when i had mine and she said if it was going to work then it would be between 24 - 48 hours. I had my first 'real' contractions 36 hours later. Good luck hun

I wasn't dilated when I had one, but mw thought it might help. I had DD3 9 hours later. 3 hour labour in total.
