If you were late once, will you be late again?

This is a completely unscientific question!

DS was 6 days overdue and the OB says that probably means that this pregnancy will go past 40 weeks as well because that's just how long my body takes.

Don't get me wrong, I like this approach! I really want a spontaneous labour, early or late. I just can't shake the feeling that this time I will be early. (I don't think this is wishful thinking LOL!)

I just want to know if anyone out there went into spontaneous labour much earlier or much later in a subsequent pregnancy??

DS1 was 8 days late and DS2 was 5 days late. I had a "feeling" I would go into labour early with DS2, but I was wrong LOL!

I think it's different for everyone, there really is no science to it

Previous pgs can be an indication, but anything can happen. My DS1 was 2 days late, and DS2 was 3 1/2 weeks early!

First pregnancies are often longer than all the rest and are more likely to go post dates. But it's not an indication of what will happen in other ones - I recently had a mum who had her first baby at nearly 42 weeks and her second one came at 38 weeks Both were spontaneous labours. You just never know.

MIL had one baby 2 weeks late and one 2 weeks early! I have only had one non induction and she came on her due date.
