At 38 weeks and 3 days Im fed up!! Some of you will laugh as I know its so common to feel this way.
But HOW OH HOW do you get through the last couple of weeks?? I dread to think how I will be feeling if bubs decides to hold out until 42 weeks..

You get through it cos you don't have a choice really...

FWIW, I went to 42 weeks with DD1 and 41 + 5 with DD2, so I definitely know what you are going through!

:yeahthat: pretty much that. all of my bubs were postdates... and I have much sympathy for you, I know how tough the last few weeks can be. But when it's all over, you'll be surprised how quickly it went

Welcome to how almost everyone feels in late pregnancy!

By 41 weeks with P, I swear to god, my brain was rotting.

Like Arimeh I too went to 41+3 and then 42 weeks and whenever I felt like I couldn't go any further I would take a deep breath, remind myself that I want my bub to choose his/her birthday, that the next few weeks would be so fast in comparison to the next 18 years I would have to share with this little creature.......

and when all that failed I ate chocolate.

Easy to say but hang in there xox

I qould quite happily give birth today if it were safe and advisable to do so and I'm not even 33weeks yet. I'm over it totally. And the prospects of the next few weeks for me is just not very nice. Christmas, new years, then we have to drive for 8hrs so I can give birth (as there is no maternity hospital here). All with a totally stuffed back and pelvis...Ugh....
Totally get how you feel. And as the others said you do it cause you have to. Cause it's best for your baby. Best for you(though maybe not emotionally!!). I'm praying baby comes a little early, like a week or two! But I'm trying very hard to remember that he might stay put for another 2 weeks after his due date!

Those last weeks are pure torture, lol, and then you still have the possibility of going overdue. Ugh.

Having said that though it is a really special time and I always regretted wishing my pg's away because I just couldnt wait to meet my little ones. Enjoy it while you can, however I do appreciate that it is easier said than done because late pg is hard.

In my last few weeks of both pgs I tried to do things that I wanted to do, that would be difficult with a new baby. DH and I went to the movies, I played computer games, I did puzzles, I did every last bit of washing and ironing, I straightened my baby's clothes and checked my hospital bag daily, I did crosswords, I played with DS1 (when pg with DS2 obviously), etc...

It wont be long till your baby is here. in the meantime, just have fun if you can!

I don't know, but I've made it to 40+2 so far.

I have a little routine that I stick to every day, that seems to help.

Yep I think just about everyone will be able to relate to this! I used to wake up crying because I was still pregnant! I know it's easier said than done but try to relax, while bubs is on the inside they're happy, fed, warm and settled

Just keep reminding yourself the the E in EDD is for estimated, and bub will come when ready. Be prepared to go over your EDD, and then any earlier is a bonus Good luck and can't wait to see you BA!

You just push on and continue as always. Make some nice plans for yourself and give yourself some little treats to pass the time
