Kicked out of the birth centre!!

    Debrief.. debrief..
So I got to 36 weeks with no complications.. but apparently have developed pregnancy induced hypertension.
I had all these dreams and plans of a natural birth at the birth centre, with no medical interference (because Ive been so traumatised by Dr's so many times in my past and get anxiety every time I walk into a hospital or interact with medical staff, and tend to react with very serious complications to most medical drugs and interventions), but now I have no choice but to birth in the hospital!..
Funny how my BP goes up whenever Im in at the hospital, but is relatively stable most of the time at home..
    Man this sux..

    That sucks!
So true about your BP - mine's the same. Always lovely and normal at home, but higher if I have it checked at the GP's.
I really do wonder how many women actually get to birth at the BC - they have such a high transfer rate.

    Oh no, so sorry

One of my gf's gets really bad white coat fever as well. No reason that you still can't have the birth you want, re-jig your birth plan a little to "suit" the hospital situation and go from there.

That really really sucks. I'm sorry.
Yeah, I'm the same with my BP. My doctor has started taking my BP towards the end of the appt now and that seems to help a bit.

Sorry if this is a silly suggestion and it has already been tried. ds1 I did have high bp ds2 I got white coat so after seeing my bp the midwife would continue with the appt chat to me a bit and then go back and check bp and it would be perfect have they tried doing that?

Thats what they should be doing. put your feet up, wait ten mins and do it again.

I'm so sorry this is happening. It must be devastating for you.
I really hope that whatever happens you get the beautiful birth you want, even if it has to be in the hospital. Xxx
