    low cramps

    im 40+ weeks now & have had cramps in the lower ab reagon.
    is this labour?

    yes, it very well could be. How often are you getting them and how long do they last. The 'text books' always describe labour pains as starting from the top, but personally I only ever feel it in my lower abdomen.

    i thought that they were meant to start at the top too? they have been very random & not coming often enough to time if that makes sense.
    i have heard that pineapple brings on labor so have asked DP to bring one home tonight

    HI Starchild ! well, low down crampy ache could indeed, mean that your body is limbering up for the latent phase of labour.
    This is when there is some cervical changes happening, ( softening up and effacement, and dilatation up to 4cm).....all in all, a decent amount of work for a womans body....but....all good signs that things are starting to move! grab a heat pack, take a warm shower and relax as much as possible. As we are heading in to the nightime now.....you might want to rest a bit....catch some zzzz....you dont know how long your journey will be! x Claire
