beema, it will prob be good advice seeing as you have been through it. it is amazing how much it helps to have someone to talk to who has been there and done that.

Ausgirl- many of your questions I have/had too because o how thick and fast contractions were coming I was in a birthing suite as it's very noisy here on the ward its impossible to rest with 15 yes that is literally how many visitors there are squished in a room with 4 beds.
I'm not in active labour as I'm not dilating but yes that is due to how breech bub is sitting from what I've been told.
Contractions have settled a little I'm still having 2 in 10 and the keep feeling them too and are marking them down as more intense than I'm feeling them apparently I'm pretty pain tolerant when it comes to contractions explains why I've never done more than grunt through a birth!
Did that help you catch up? It's all been a bit crazy so sorry for those trying to keep up.
At least this afternoon the staff are FANTASTIC! we are getting some answers and I'm getting a lot of medical assistance with my heart and swelling and finally they noticed I need iron tablets!

Hun you are not alone! I can't put it as eloquently as Beema (well said) but there are few of us that have been through it and understand what you are going through and how hard it is :(
As hard as it is you are doing a fantastic job...every day your boys are tucked up they get stronger and less time in the NICU.
It is great that you are starting to get some answers and they are helping you :)
 I'm pleased you've had something to eat xx
I'm another who went through 8 weeks similar to what you are now (with DS2) at 26 weeks it all started. I spent one week in hospital and a further 7.5 weeks at home on strict bed rest. It's definitely not easy, but oh so worth it.
I am another one who went through it for two weeks with dd2 and 5.5 with Ds. So vent away we know how you are feeling. Being in labour for so long is not an easy thing to go through.
ive been reading along and am stunned by some of the treatment you have recieved!
's i hope everything settles down and you get some answers soon...
i too, am another who had spent more time on bed rest than i care to remember...
with DD's pregnancy i was on "light" bed rest from my BRP till 15weeks when i had a cervical stitch done and then from 15-20weeks it kicked up a notch and then from 20weeks full bed rest till about 35weeks.... mind u i didnt always obey those orders, any of the jan11 belly buddies could tell you about that  BUT my point is like the other girls who have done bed rest stints i under stand how frustrsting it it but you just have to hang in there a bit longer and those gorgous boys will be here, happy and healthy...
keep ur chin up hun, your on the home stretch now
Thanks girls I really don't know what I'd do without you I think I'd be curled up in a ball rocking back and forth between contractions! Be back to add more drs here

What did the Dr say?
They aren't concerned with the babies at the moment number 1 priority has moved to working out why my heart rate at resting is around 140 which is causing all sorts if issues so just had another blood test that makes my needle count 16 since Tuesday I'm officially a pin cushion lol
So yeah as nothing has progressed babywise today it's all stayed the same main focus is helping me

Yeah I have my iPod and a sketch pad n paper drawing is my soother!
Been awake since about 4 with like heavy period cramp feelings all in the same area you get period pain is that just another pre labour symptom?

thats how labour started for me, period pains, then i got regular contractions. soi guess part of my pre-labour.
glad you have stuff to do in there!
i think that is the best thing about bb, we can all share our stories and know that we are not alone. everyone here is so supportive and it is nice knowing that we can all depend on each other.
glad things are getting sorted now, it is such a relief to know what is going on. wishing you all the best. hopefully things will work out so the twins can cook a bit longer and be healthier babies when they arrive for you. xo
I had a lot of period pain before all three labours, had no idea it was the real deal with dd1 but it meant I knew the warning signs with dd2 and Ds when it started at 35 and 34 weeks with them, ended up in hospital a few hours later as the contractions hit.
Thats how my labour started with both my boys too!! Both times woke me up smack bang on 4am.
Oh so things may kick off for me today then, the tightenings are more frequent but not painful or anything very uncomfortable on top of the period pain.
Neither baby is engaged yet though but ive read a few stories where that didn't happen til the last min
