Question bloody show question/advice (tmi warning)

    hello....
last pregnancy i didn't have a show, well i think i did but it was when i was in established labour in the hospital bed and i only know that from reading my hospital notes...
i'm 36 weeks and yesterday noticed something on the toilet bowl (not in it, on it)... it was orangey/red, not clear at all... sorry this is TMI but it was also when i had a bowel movement... it was similar to others described, like mucous from your nose only coloured...
i haven't had anything else since, have had some mild BH like contractions, but haven't had anything else in the way of coloured mucous... do you think this could have been the bloody show, or is it possible it was something to do with the bowel movement (again, i'm sorry)... the thing is, bowel movement was in the water well in the toilet bowl (where it is supposed to be!), where as this was sitting up high on the porcelan of the toilet, as if it had come from a 'different area', otherwise why wouldn't it be with the other junk in the bowl.... i've got not experience with this sort of thing so just wondered what everyone thought.... i realise it still may be weeks til i go into labour, but just curious anyway... it wasn't alot of mucous, but still i can't work out what/where it came from and whether it holds any significance...

sorry for the gory details but i feel like if i had of just done a wee and saw this, then i would definitely think it was bloody show, but because of what else happened at same time, i'm doubtful/confused.

Hi Emma, I'm no expert but sounds to me like it might have been a show. From what I know you can loose a little bit of your plug at a time, so it could've just been a bit of it iykwim. I'd just keep an eye on things down there, but try not to worry too much, cos by the sounds of things it probably had more to do with your hoo haa rather than the bowel movement.

Wow, can't believe you're so close already!!!

It does sound like some sort of plug loss. Mine happened exactly 2 wks before Elijah was born... was like a rubbery glob of snot lol. Didn't have it with the others either so it was an "experience" hehe. The plug can replenish itself though, so it doesn't mean that you will necessarily be having bub soon.

hmmmmm frustrating, it has driven me nuts looking for signs of imminent labour!!
i am meeting up with a friend and catching the train 1hr40 minutes to meet her, then back again.... my partner doesn't think i should go, but i'm gunna do it.... worst case scenario i go into labour, i can always get help or just get home.... hehe...
