I'ld love to see it to Michael. Is there anywhere else you can put it up??
I think its shocking - people put up IMO explicit things on youtube - but something normal like a women giving birth can't be on - what is wrong with the world???

wow that was just beautiful trish
**Wah!!*** I'm still crying. Trish, that was beautiful! Thank you for sharing with us all.
Awesome!
Okay I saw yours Trish, was fantastic, made me cry! I'd love to do something like that.
Its Michaels link that is banning us from viewing!
And down it goes again, within hours. Sad that the Youtube Nazis seem to think that a photograph of someone giving birth - even tasteful ones - are "obscene" or "pornographic". *sigh*
Hi
That was beautiful i didnt get many photos of my first daughter when she was first born now i regret it but this time around i will make sure i take heaps hehe.
BTW what was the name of that song its a beautiful song.
Lisa
Wow Trish - thanks for sharing that with us.
What is that song? Title and who sings it?
I made a CD for DS with all the songs that reminded me of when he was born and am thinking if this one is a girl I'd love to use it...
Thanks!
thankyou for sharing that, it was amazing, i'm still blubbing (or as my DH calls it "leaking"). Congratulations to your family!
Michael, what a pain in the bum for you hun. Although thanks for sharing Olivia's birth with me this morning it was gorgeous.
Girls the song is called Baby Girl by Will Hoge. I wrote the name in the credits but you must have had too many tears by then ;)
It is pretty easy to do one of those clips too. Just go to the same site that I used - one true media dot com. You get the drift.
Kelly free to steal my slideshow ;) If it changes how just one woman gives birth in a positive way it's surely worth it. Oh WOW Kelly, just noticed the link from the newsletter. ONly one problem it goes to page 2 of the thread. Oh well, if people want to see it they can look for it :)
For me there is no way I could now go on to have a hospital birth. I think once you go down the path of a homebirth it's just too hard to comform to the hospitals "rules".
Again, thank you for all the positive feedback. I loved to be able to share it with my BB friends :)
Trish, that was absolutely beautiful. My DH was asking me about photo's during labour the other day. I was always adament that I didn't want any taken, but he asked if I wanted some during the labour (not the 2nd stage) for memories. After seeing your montage I may have changed my mind. Thanks again.
Trish, that was absolutely beautiful !!!
Michael, stop trying to steal my thread ;)
I can't open it through here though either hun. Stupid Youtube, how rude of them. If they just allowed it there would be none of this hassle!!!
That was gorgeous - I held my little boy while I watched it and cried
I so would love a home waterbirth - maybe I will get the courage one day :)
Rory, I think once you get your head around the whole thing, do your research and are so informed on everything, you get taken away with it all.
It's a very empowering thing to do. Funnily though, women were birthing at home only 70 years or so ago as a natural thing. Women in other countries do it everyday, and it's the norm.
Each to their own though :)
Rachel, get the photos. If you don't like them you can get rid of them, but you can't go back to take more !!! They don't have to be distasteful, not that I think any birth pics are. But I'm sure you know what I mean.
Trish - sorry for hijacking your thread...LOL
Nah, it's all good Michael. And the other girls should get to see Olivia's brith too, it was beautiful :)
One more attempt, for all those for whom the AAPT link isn't working - the video on Dailymotion (who are hopefully less strict, or at least less attentive, than Youtube).
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x11vmb_olivias-birth-short-version
Trish - just beautiful Trish, lots of tears here. I never would have thought I would agree that photos at the birth were a good idea - until now.
Michael - even more tears! Olivia is gorgeous and there is a beautiful photo of your wife in there when she is leaning back after the birth with Olivia in her arms - she is glowing.
:crying:
Caro, yup we have a video of Tehya's whole birth and some of the labour. Must admit there's more labour than birth though. Welll after 10 hours of it, I'd guess you'd expect that ;)
I had a professional photographer come and do pics at her Baptism. It's good having those sort of friends :)
Michael, that link worked for me.
I hear you sister!! If "birth" is just the "coming out part" - well that's about 5 seconds in a vaginal birth, isn't it? In which case, I'll give "birth" any day LOL!!!:
Must admit there's more labour than birth though
PMSL Rory, if only we could just cut to the chase hey. Sure would make things alot easier :)
LOL Heh, feeling bad about the confusion I caused by stealing Trish's limelight. So I've started my own thread in this form and put the Dailymotion link for Olivia's photo-video there.
That was amazing! So well put together, I would never be able to do something like that!! What was the song that plays with the images?
Cindy, it depends on who's slideshw you've watched. If it was mine then the song is Baby Girl by Will Hoge.
If it was Schmickers(aka Michael's)it is When you say you love me by Westlife.
Truely you can do it too, it's really quite easy to do with that program online.
That was just beautiful!! Well done!! What a beautiful memory you have made of her birth by putting in that format!
That was beautiful...
I love that song
Thanks a heap Kristie and Nic :)
Where is the link to the home video/montage? thanks - Renaee.
It's on the first page hun. On the very first post :)
Thrish, that the most beautiful video, i had tears running down my face, I can not wait to do it all over again, you have inspired (spel) me to try for a water birth.
kmh, go for the waterbirth, you won't regret it. If you try it out and decide it's not for you then atleast you know.
Be warned though, a VBAC waterbirth is hard to find someone to support you in. That's why I did mine at home ;)
Trish I am with kmh - I want a waterbirth after your vid - and a home birth!!
YAY, good girls. HEHE. Girls I am so glad that I have planted that little seed, now it's up to you to nurture it :)
Hi Trish, so wonderful to see homebirth (and water birth) being embraced! We've known for over 1yr now that that's how we wanted to birth. I just found out I'm pregnant with our 1st bubba on Sunday and the first thing I did on Monday was find a midwife (harder than I thought - they're few and far between)! I'm meeting up with a NZ midwife next week to plan a wonderful water-homebirth.
If there's a home/waterbirth section in Belly Belly I'd love to know more about your experience sometime (I know no-one personally that's had a homebirth :().
A wonderful montage! Congratulations!!
Melody, feel free to email me hun. I'm sure my details are in my profile. I'd be happy to share all with you sweety :)
A huge CONGRATUALTIONS on your pregnancy too. Hope all goes great for you.
Thank you Trish that was really beautiful I cried all the way through
thankyou kitty kat
Beautiful work Trish. I loved it and it's confirmed my feelings about a waterbirth. Now I've just gor to convince my husband that its a good idea. I might show him your vid.
Thanks for sharing
Great Katie, so now your DH is going to see my boobs ;)
My partner was so dead against it. Can't say he's changed alot now though. He was just too impatient and for some reason thought that my labour would have been quicker had we been in a hospital environment.
Still it's something that if I were to ever have any more children I would do all over again :)
We also had a home waterbirth. And my wife was one of the midwives at Trish's birth. You can email me at michaelNOSPAM@michaelandvictoria.NOSPAM.id.au. (Remove the nospams, though...:D)
