So I am 37wks on Saturday coming, my midwife has given me the go ahead to start natural induction methods. Id bet the farm Im atleast a good 2 or 3 cms dialated already and Im having intermittent contractions everyday. Im trying to avoid acupuncture until Im at my EDD as Ive heard its more for ripening which is something I def dont need help with
Ive found a website on accupressure points to try, I make a mean curried sausage, obviously our no-sex ban is lifted as of friday so Dh is keen to try that, walking is a bit of an issue with my pelvis complaints but I run around after two toddlers enough anyway...........
Any other suggestions on how to coach him out naturally? What worked for you? When did you end up delivering after trying it?
This is all so new to me as my other two were inductions at 37 and 38wks.
I'm not sure if this had anything to do with my DD being born 4 days early, but I was eating licorice, using a breastpump a few times a day, I power walked up our street which has a 15 degree angle and I paced up and down our driveway as fast as I could (driveway also have a 15 degree angle).
I also did the pressure points.
Umm...nothing! LOL Went 10 days over both times but that's unlikely in your case hun.
One of the girls in my baby buddies thread swears that there's a curry called "Passage to Inida" that is a sure fire labour inducer! You can get it at Coles/Woolies etc.
One of my girlfirends used an inchair massager, both labours started within hours of using the chair... (i'm going to borrow it when I am about 37 weeks too!)
In the past I have tried raspberry leaf tea and tablets, curry, nipple stimulation, walking and prune juice. None of them worked lol. The curry and prune juice succeed in making me feel ill and giving me the runs, but that was all.
