    Post partum bleeding question?

Im 1wk post partum after 3rd bub and my bleeding has stopped.........I cant remember from the last two when it stopped. Just wondering if I should be concerned?

He's a great feeder, its gone through the usual stages of red/brown/mucousy yellow/brown spotting, not in any pain or anything and I know my uterus has contracted nicely back into place.

Contemplating whether to temp fate and go swimming this weekend

With both my girls the bleeding had pretty well stopped then it would start again - both times it wasnt completely gone till 6-7wks.

Hopefully youre ok to go swimming!
    congrats on your bub too

Anna - b'feeding actually helps to minimise the bleeding because it helps the uterus to contract back faster. So I'd say you're fine!

I still bled for a good 5weeks or more, and that was with a lot of breastfeeding lol. Lucky you to have it stop so soon!

ETA: I also got my period back at 3 months, so my body just ignores the fact that I'm breastfeeding I think LOL.

Without being a negative nelly - the bleeding may come back. But if not - enjoy the swim!!!

I had a similar case, thought it was over around a week after birth and then it came back on and off for about 4 weeks, usually after a feed, but not heavy. Hope you can get to go swimming!

Mine only lasted 1 wk. Actually it really slowed up day 4 and i thought it was gone but then i passed a few clots. I tend not to be a long bleeder during my normal cycles anyway short and heavy so iam not sure if that relates to it at all.

I have always bled a lot, but fast. I have never had it for longer than a few days... we had DTD when Harmony was just over 48 hrs old... the longest we have had to wait after a bub was 6 days....

    Lucky you, enjoy it babe!!!
