    Question prelabour signs

both my other pregnancies went over their edd. Tia was 40 + 10 and Alisha was 40+4. I didnt have any idea that labour was going ahead until i started having regular contractions.

Anyway my question is are they any pre labour signs or symptoms that i could be having without knowing?

Last tuesday at my ob appt, the dr said that the baby was head down and had its back against mine which was causing a backache. It went away as the baby moved around but last night i was having contractions while i was trying to sleep. And today i have another crippling backache.

Could these be 'pre labour' signs or just general niggling?
