Give it to me straight ladies,
i am simply over being pregnant, and i just want to meet my little gem, i am praying to go into labour ANYTIME.
Dont get me wrong i have LOVED being pregnant, but ive hit a point where all i am doing is waiting and its driving me insane. i know everyone says to enjoy this "me" time, but all this "me" time i have is spent being bored or thinking of her, and what she'll look like and what we are going to name her, and how louife is going to be when she arrives.
I feel aweful for wanting her out so bad
No you aren't I have had that with each pg too!!
Especially your first because you are so excited about meeting them and the anticipation drives you crazy.
I was the same. The waiting is seriously hard! I couldn't really focus on 'enjoying the me time' either, because everyday I was like "is this the day? Will I go into labour today?". Its mental torture!
My only suggestion is to distract yourself as much as you can.
Yep I felt like that too! Being my first, I was convinced he'd come over 40 weeks, but alas he came at 38 weeks and it was truely a rude shock as I was so unprepared!!
Enjoy and distract yourself as much as possible xox
Holly I was the same....convinced bubs would go waaay overdue, and then he decided to make an entrance at 39 wks.
And being my first, the anticipation was so high. I couldn't wait. I wished I'd worked longer, I was going nuts waiting at home. And the nesting thing never really kicked in for me so there goes that theory about keeping boredom at bay!
I used the time to catch up with people I knew it would be hard to see once bubs was born, and to just get myself in the right frame of mind for what was to come.
I was even more selfish than that - I didn't just want it to be over so I could meet the baby, I wanted it to be over so I didn't have to be pregnant anymore!!! (although if there hadn't been a baby at the end as well I would have been kind of peeved, I'm sure!)
The last weeks are really long, hope it goes quick for you. Maybe you could rent or borrow some dvds you always wanted to watch or catch up with some friends and do some cooking for the freezer ... all this time you have now, you'll wonder where it went when she comes - I know that doesn't help, though!!
