Frances Perry - Recent Birthing Experiences?

Hi there! Just wondering if anyone has had their baby at Frances Perry recently, and how you found the midwives? I'm due in February and am interested in recent experiences.

Not so recent experience but my girlfriend who has a 5yo and 2yo had both her children at Frances Perry. She used the same OB for both her births. When she saw him initially when first pregnant with her second child she asked her OB what he thought was different about Frances Perry since she last birthed there. His answer, 'the c/s rate has doubled!' (yes her OB said this). I am not sure why she didn't run for her life but she went on to birth naturally with no interventions...

Wow, doubled rates?! That seems rather high! I wonder if there is an increasing number of 'high risk' pregnancies at FPH more recently which have lead to this? It would be interesting to see some statistics on this, to see whether the change is born of necessity or something else entirely.

It's great to hear that she was able to birth naturally, and without unnecessary intervention, though - that's what I'm hoping for. It's difficult to determine how much your birth outcome is influenced by hospital policy, and how much it is influenced by the kind of doctor you have present.
